About Roundtrip at Veståsen

This is the perfect cross country adventure for the whole family. The trail to Blåbærhaugen in 2,3 km and takes you to a lavvu. It fits a total of 20 people and has a place to make a bonfire and a toboggan run for the kids. 


Getting there

You have to drive to get to the cross country trails. These trails are the closest once to Ål stasjon if you are planning to arrive by train. You have to drive Vestsidevegen to get there. There are 5 parking lots along the road taking you directly to the cross country trails.

Trail description

The terrain is a bit hilly but still considered achievable for kids down to 7 years. For everyone that want a longer trail Blåbærhaugen is connected to great network of other cross country trails. For everyone looking for great views we would reccomend expanding the journey to Bosset where you can see Hallingskarvet, Reineskarvet, Lauvdalsbrea, Blåbergi, Såta, Grytingen og Skogshorn.

Where to stay

One of the best high end camping places in Norway. Hallingdal feriepark has a wide range of adventures and activities at the camping or in close proximity. Rent one of the riverside cabins and eat local food in the restaurant in the evenings. This is the perfect for families.
