Lyderhorn is one of the most famous peaks around Bergen. The peak is part of what is called the Seven Mountains around Bergen. From the top you will have magnificent views of the ocean and other seven mountains like Løvstakken .
From Bergen take road 555 towards Loddefjord. As you are leaving the second tunnel take a right at exit 5 towards Loddefjord. In the first round-a-bout take a left and then another left in the next round-a-bout. Drive for another 100 meters and turn left when a white sign says "Skålevik". Continue this road all until the end when you reach Esso. On the right side of the road, you find the parking lot with room for about 20 cars. The drive from downtown takes about 20 minutes.
From the parking lot follow the wide trail going up throughout the forest. There are lots of trails in this area, but also lots of signs to tell you where to go. As you ascend the views become better and better and although the trail is a bit steep at times it should be doable for most hikers.
