About Kvalvika Beach

Take off E10 and head towards Fredvang, follow the signs to Krystad and Selfjord. After driving past Fredvang and Bergland you will arrive Torsfjord and find a parking lot on the left side. If the winter is gentle and there is not much snow, you will se the path easy and just continue following it in easy terrain. When walking down towards Kvalvika the terrain can be rocky and rough, so use good crampons to prevent you from falling on the icy surface. Down at the beach you will find nice spots to put up your tent and then it´s all set to enjoy the arctic night and the northern light dancing above you.

In Kvalvika you can find a small cabin as well. The cabin was built by two friends living in Kvalvika for 9 months, just wanting to surf and ski. If you find it, the door is open, find yourself a bed and have a good night sleep.
