About Ryten

Take off from the E10 and head toward Fredvang and follow the signs to Krystad and Selfjord. When driving past Bergland you will find a parking lot on the left side. Put on your skiis and enjoy a nice trip up to the top. The skiing up is fairly easy and never steep. The ridge up to Ryten is quite steep on the left side and there might be some snowdrifts, so just keep a bit to the right going up.

On the top of Ryten you can take a deep breath of fresh air and embrace the view of the ocean and Kvalvika. If you turn your head eastward you can glimpse Store Nappstind in Flakstad, Justatind in Vestvågøy and even Vågakallen in Vågan. After a well deserved break you can look forward to a really nice downhill with wide open areas.

Going to Ryten you will feel like being at the end of the world. The skiing up to the top is fairly easy and never steep. The views of the ocean is fantastic and you will also get some great views of Kvalvika beach.
