About Grøndalen

Lesja bring you some of the best single tracks in Norway. Bring your bike, take the Train on the beautful Raumabanen and enjoy an adventure on your mountain bike in Lesja!

Getting there

You can either travel by train to Bjorli station. Or you can travel by car to the starting point. The latter option requires that you drive from E136 1.3 km east of Bjorli and follow signs for Bjorli Airport. Follow Brekkelivegen past the airport until the road ends at Bergene.

Alternatively, there is parking at E136 3 km west of Lesjaskog center. Drive down to Nørdre Søreinbu, parking is in the area of Øyom football golf. Cross the E136 and Raumabanen and continue down to Kvitlebrua and follow the north side of Rauma downstream for about one kilometer. At Håmårfossen you can cross the bridge and start the tour at Bergene.

Trail description

From Bergene you follow the old road to Kvamsetra and then continue the single track towards Grønfossen. Here you are in the Reinheimen National Park's edge zone, and the trails are used by many. Dry trails and open woods makes the trails in Grøndalen worth a visit.

  • Note that it is prohibited to bike in the National Park.
