About Vettafjellet

With its 969 meters above sea level, you get some great views of Sunndalsøra, the Tingvollfjord and the 360 degrees views of the mountains surrounding you. The trail is quite steep but easy to follow.

Getting there

From Sunndalsøra follow road 62 towards Molde. After 3 km take a right and follow the signs for "Viklandet" and "Hammarkaia". Continue on this road for another 5 km until the road is closed for private vehicles only. There is a small parking lot you can use on the right side of the road.

Trail description

Find the trailhead along the road. The trail is fairly steep all the way up to the peak. When you leave the forest you are about half way up to the top. The very last part follows the ridge out to the main peak.
