This is the perfect hike for those looking for a hike off the beaten track and away from all the tourists in Geiranger. The trek to Løsta is a short hike with a good climb of a few hundred meters.
From Geiranger, follow road 63 south through Geiranger centre towards Hole for about 4 km. Make a left at the sign towards Vesterås. Pass the cabins on your left and head right onto a gravel road that takes you to the parking at Vesterås.
Starting at Vesterås Farm, walk through the goat and llama paddocks before heading up to the right - there is a path that climbs steadily until it reaches Løsta at approx. 500 m above sea level. You are starting off in the woods before climbing to a great view over Geiranger fjord and Ørnesvingen. Take a drink in the sun on the patio at Vesterås once you’ve finished the hike and enjoy the views.
