About Nevlunghavn to Oddane Sand
A short paddle trip to one of Vestfolds most famous beaches, Oddane Sand. With beautiful weather this is an easy and relaxing route, but if conditions change it be a bit more challenging.
From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 132 kilometers until you reach exit toward Fv 303 Larvik. Follow signs towards Fv302 - Helgeroa. Stay on Fv302/Brunlanesveien for nearly 15 kilometers until you reach Nevlunghavn.
Launch your kayak in the shallow Havnebukta bay, just a few hundred meters north of Nevlunghavn. Paddle south along the shoreline and take a tour into Nevlunghavn harbor. Continue paddling south until you reach Oddane Sand, the popular and beautiful sandy beach. The area is a bit exposed, but is still quite sheltered from the open ocean by the small islets just off shore. Enjoy a relaxing break at the beach and return back to Nevlunghavn along the same route.
A paddle trip out to the Bramskjær islands in the east is highly recommended on a good weather day. There are nice places to land on Vestre Bramskjær: on a sandy beach in the northeast and in the middle of the bay on the south side. On land, you will find great places to enjoy a break as well as pitch a tent if you would like to stay the night.
At Nevlunghavn you can find:
- Public restrooms
- Fresh water
