About Svinevika to Furuholmen
A memorable paddling trip through Sandefjord’s fjord, and a good route for a morning or afternoon paddle.
From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 117 kilometers until you reach exit 42 toward Fv 305 Sandefjord. Follow Fv305 to Fv303 through Sandefjord and follow signs to Larvik. Stay on Fv303 for nearly 6.7 kilometers until you turn left onto the road, Kjerringvikveien. Stay on Kjerringvikveien for 3 kilometers until turning left onto the road, Svinevik, which will take you to your destination.
From Svinevika, the route heads north towards Håkavika and the islets, Kisteholmane. It continues further on to Sandvika, a northeast-facing beach within the Raudholmane islets. Past the islets, you can paddle along the shoreline, into various coves, and around a few points to explore the area within Saltholmen and the Oulu.
The journey continues north to the islets outside Granholmen, such as the Furuholmene and Bjerkholm islands. Here, you will find many charming canals as well as great places to land your kayak and stretch your legs. Granholmen island is also home to the Sandefjord Kayak Club. Return to Svinevika along the same route.
