About Granholmen to Furuholmen and Uleholmen
Discover the beautiful area surrounding Granholmen from your kayak. A nice trip for beginners or for people looking for a short afternoon paddle tour.
From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 117 kilometers until you reach exit 42 toward Fv 305 Sandefjord. Follow Fv305 to Fv303 through Sandefjord and follow signs to Larvik. Stay on Fv303 for nearly 4 kilometers until you reach the roundabout directing you towards Granholmen. Follow the signs to Granholmen Camping where you reach your destination.
From Granholmen, the route heads southwest to the group of islets right across the small strait from Granholmen. Paddle south through the islets and across the small straight to a bigger islet, Uleholmen, directly south. There can be boats in this area, so be aware of your surroundings!
From Uleholmen, you enter the north side of Saltholmen on the western shoreline. Continue north along the shore, passing bays and peninsulas on the island, Skogøy. Continue paddling northwest to Vannøya and finally Enga before you return to your starting point at Granholmen.
