Trail description

From Granholmen, paddle about one kilometer north to Trangsholmene, the islets located on the western side of the fjord. From these islets, paddle east across the fjord. Watch out for the boat traffic and especially the Strømstad ferry!

On the eastern side of the fjord, there are several great swimming beaches which are perfect places to take a break and stretch your legs. The first beach is located at Asnes, at the entrance to Korsvika. From there, paddle into Korsvika, around the peninsula, and then further south to the east side of the islands, Sandholmen and Raudnebben.

Follow the shoreline south for another kilometer until reaching the island, Buerøya, which has a sandy beach on the northern side. About one kilometer further south lies the island, Hellesøya, with a great beach on the eastern side. Here, there is also the beach, Langeby, located on the mainland. By Vøra, the peninsula reaching furthest west into the fjord, paddle back across the fjord towards Saltholmen in the west. Again, be aware of the ferry traffic in and out of the fjord!

Continue north along the shoreline, paddling through the bays, around the peninsulas, and through the islets. There are often boats in this area, so be aware! Continue paddling north to return to Granholmen.
