About Langeby to Korsvika
A short and sheltered route for beginners and perfect for an afternoon paddle. The route goes to Korsvika and Asnes, two local favorites with great views of the Sandefjord fjord.
From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 117 kilometers until you reach exit 42 toward Fv 305 Sandefjord. Follow Fv305 to Fv303 through Sandefjord and follow signs to Vesterøya. Once at Vesterøya, stay on “Vesterøyveien” for 6.5 kilometers until you take a right towards your destination at Langeby Camping.
From Langeby, paddle north and past the first small island, Stråholmen. A little further north you will pass another island, Buerøya. This island is a very popular place during the summertime and therefore it may be difficult to find a place to relax on the island during the high season. Paddle along the eastern shoreline of Buerøya and take a small trip in the beautiful bay on the north side of the island where you see the beautiful sandy beach. Here, there is also a coastal cabin which is available for rent.
Paddle further north along the shoreline and into Tangenbukta bay. After the bay, around the peninsula to Korsvika Bay, which is a great place for break and perhaps a refreshing swim in the ocean. Return back to Langeby on the same route.
At Langeby you can find:
- Public restrooms
- Grocery stores
