The old post road between Eidsbugarden and Gjendebu ran along the western side of Gravabekken. It's the one we use today as well when going to Gravafjell at 1480 meters above sea level. The hill up from Bygdin is covered with alpine flowers of all kinds. The sun is shining on your back – so you can enjoy the stunning nature around you.
The Postvegen goes from Bygdin, after you have passed a rocky beach where the T-marked path goes all the way to waterfront. The trail crossing is easy to miss – so keep your eyes peeled.
Once you’ve crossed Gravabekken and you see the beginning of the river at Gravatjernet, you’ll see the path up to the 1480-meter peak. It gives you fantastic views across Bygdin in the south and west.
