Storhølister is a large cabin in north Langsua which has a long tradition to welcome hikers. Previously it was a catering cottage here, but in 2002 the operation was shut down. From February 2012 DNT started leasing one of the houses and they are now offering 2 cabins with 10 and 8 beds.
The cottages are located under Storhøpiggen, which is a great hiking destination from the cabin. The round trip on Svarttjønnholet is an experience especially for the horse enthusiasts, as there is a large herd of stallions grazing here during the summer.
With its excellent accessibility and a wide and gentle terrain is Storhøliseter well adapted for families.
The oldest cottage, Casparistuen is almost 300 years old. It is named after our famous mountain poet Theodor Caspari (1853-1948) , who lived on Storhøliseter many years. Much of Caspari's poetry is inspired by trips just in this area.
