About Valdresrittet

The “Valdresrittet” route is a yearly cycle race, but it is marked and accessible for everyone. Some cycling experience is recommended.

The route starts and stops by the Sekskanten tavern at Vaset. Follow the gravel road along the Vasetvatnet lake (on your right), passing by traditional summer farms and a enjoying the open landscape. Continue towards Grønsennknippa, where you enter onto the first mountain biking section of the route. Turn right onto a “tractor road” towards Ormestadstølen and from there you follow a single track to Svult. Enjoy the magnificent view in the direction of Jotunheimen. Continue to Syndinstoga where you can stop for refreshments and a meal. There are also cabins for rent. From Syndinstoga, the route continues on a gravel road to Fiskeløyse. Some steep parts in this area. Follow the path across the Syndisfjellet mountain.
Follow the same route along the Vasetvatnet lake back to the starting point.
