About Steinbrygga to Fekjær

A short and safe route along the shoreline which is great for beginners. Kayak south from Munch’s kingdom, in Åsgårdstrand, to the little recreational area at Feskjær.

The adventure is part of Padleled Vestfold and the entry point for the adventure is Steinbrygga at Borre.

Getting there

From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 88 kilometers until you reach exit 34 (Undrumsdal-Krysset) for Rv19/Rv306 toward E6/Havn/Moss/Horten/Rv311/Åsgårdstrand/Undrumsdal. Follow Rv19 for 5 kilometers before heading south on Kirkebakken/Rv325 for 500 meters. Take a left onto the road, Steinbrygga, and follow it until you come to the parking area at the boat harbor.

Trail description

From Steinbrygga, the route heads south along the shoreline through safe waters. The route eventually passes Åsgårdstrand, where the famous Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch, spent a lot of time.

The trip continues south to the quaint recreational area, Feskjær, which is a great place to relax and even pitch a tent if you wish to stay overnight. Enjoy a great view of the Oslo Fjord before heading back to Steinbrygga along the same route.

At Steinbrygga you can find:

  • Public toilets
  • Fresh water
