About Skjervika to Jarlsberg Brygge

A short and sheltered kayak route in Sandebukta bay, perfect for beginners.

The adventure is part of Padleled Vestfold and the entry point for the adventure is Skjervika.

Getting there

From Oslo, follow E18 east towards Kristiansand for nearly 50 kilometers until you reach exit 28: “Bergsenga-Krysset” toward Sande N. Follow Fv313 for 12 kilometers through Sande and until you reach a sign for “Skjervikbukta” directing you to the left, onto Gamleveien road. Make another immediate left and the parking lot and the big grassy area will be on your right.

Trail description

From Skjervika, head north along the coast for a short distance. Cross the open water over to the small peninsula, Kverntangodden, on the eastern shoreline, where Nordre Jarlsberg pier is located. This is a great location to take a break and stretch your legs.

In the summer season, there is a lot of action here and it is recommended to take a longer break and enjoy the atmosphere. In the other seasons, you may have the area all to yourself. Return to Skjervika along the same route.

At Skjervika you can find:
