About Vollan gård
Vollan Gård is a farm, museum, and visitor centre. The yellow and gray building has a rich history and role in the local village. The building itself dates back to the 17th-century, with some artifacts dating on the land back all the way to the 13th century. Historically, Vollan was one of the very few farms with its own farmhouse.
The centre is not far from Road 3, but it may be a bit difficult to find.
Take road opposite the gas station, Circle K, in Kvikne. Follow this road parallel along Road 3 until reaching Vollan Gård. It is also possible to park at Road 3 and walk 400 meters across the river.
- The centre is usually open the last two weekends in June, all of July and the first two weekends in August, from 11:00 to 17:00.
- If you wish to experience the farm outside of the opening hours, please contact Vollan Farm Foundation at tel. 907 56 153.
- Visit this website for more information on rentals, summer programs, and other events.
