7.2 kilometers (out‑and‑back)
At Langtjønna there are many light and enjoyable mountain trails. The trip to Svahøa goes through beautiful surroundings and simple terrain as you rise in elevation. The view is majestic with sights toward Nerskogen, Trollheimen and Snøhetta.
You are now just by the east border of Trollheimen landscape preserve. Trollheimen has greater variation in types of nature than any other preserved nature area has in this country. Botanically, Trollheimen has the Norway’s largest number of diverse species of any mountain area. This has a lot to do with the geology of the area, where lime rich rocks provide excellent growing conditions for special mountain plants.
The trip starts at the toll, follow the gravel road up toward the first garage on the right side. Turn off the road to the left and follow the trail form here. This will lead you up a gentle ascent toward south for about 2 km. Further there is no trail, but simple terrain up the last hill toward the top. The terrain will flatten out as you see Svahøa in front of you.
Return the same route you came from. Estimated duration is a roundtrip.
Exit Nerskogsveien and drive in toward Svahøveien (toll road). At the crossroad after the gravel driveway, go straight until you reach Svahøa. Park next to the toll.
