About Skørsnøse

Skørsnøse has become a widely used destination with randonee with good snow conditions. However, the peak is also an nice hiking destinations in the summer with great views of Jotunheimen, Tyinkrysset, Otrøvatnet and Filefjell. Park your car at Grihamarstølen about 1 km west of the E-16 from Tyinkrysset. The trail starts at the information board. Once you've walked a few minutes, you pass Brekkadn, an old mountain farm plot (ruins and stone fence). The farm belonged to Grihamar. Follow the marked trail inwards towards Bjørdalen. After approximately 1 km the path splits, you take the path on the left uphill. This is an easy, nice and adequately steep trail to walk. Then you walk to the summit from the north. When you first have arrived here, you should definitely stroll further along the cliff to Støgonøse. It's a nice walk in nearly flat terrain. A marked trail goes further down to Nystøga or Kyrkjestølen.
