About Kvitskartinden

From Torfinnsbu follow the T-marked path westwards towards Eidsbugarden and suitable fish arch Nybu. You take out of the path about 100m before coming to pelvic Langedalsåne. Follow the path upwards Langdalen on the east side of the creek in easy terrain. The trail, which here and there can be indistinct, are mostly varda but not marked. You go in the moraine landscape with heather, low- and grassland, intersected by streams and humid puffs with richer vegetation. It becomes rockier eventually, but with green spots with mouse ear inside among. When you are on a par with Western Torfinnstind, you take off eastwards towards botnen between this and the Kvitskarstind Mountains. Enjoy mountain plants on the ride up. Cross the creek Underneath they waterfall, go up the scree sloping toward the north, and you are soon up in botnen located 1740-1780 m. You have Thorfinneggen opposite. Will you up and out of the viewpoint about 1980 m above you, you must take up the scree to the left, northwest of. Some climbing at the end and something fluffy. Detour takes about ½ hour. Or you follow the map slot into botnen and goes snøfeltene up. Follow happily back / cliff edge to the north and enjoy views in all directions. Last ascend of approximately 130 height meters is easy to walk up to the impressive cairn on top. The peripheral view from here is just amazing! The return trip can be added along the ridge southeast over Thorfinnseggen (1996 m) where you constantly walking on the edge of the drop down against Svartdalen. You go down between the two glaciers. It's steep, but harmless.
